Here’s a great news for all the prospective students,planning to come to SDSU!!!

ISC is offering some scholarships this year…especially for the international students!!!!(wish ’twas there last year!!!!)

Here’s a list of the new scholarship available:

*Undergraduate Scholarships

1)Global Citizen Scholarship – scholarship for incoming freshmen
Eligibility: Freshmen applicants who submitted an application and qualify for Fall 2010 admission; must be an international student (F-1 visa)
Requirements: Application form (PDF); essays (indicated on application form), 2 letters of recommendation
Award: $5,000
Deadline: March 1st

2.International Perspectives – scholarship for incoming undergraduate transfers
Eligibility: Transfer applicants who submitted an application and qualify for Fall 2010 admission; must be an international student (F-1 visa)
Requirements: Application form (PDF); essays (indicated on application form), 2 letters of recommendation
Award: $3,000
Deadline: March 1st

3.Intercultural Ambassador’s Program
This annual scholarship program, a collaborative effort of the SDSU International Student Center and the International Studies Education Project of San Diego (ISTEP), is a combined student leadership development/community outreach initiative designed to promote greater intercultural awareness and international goodwill in the San Diego public schools.

4.InterNational Partner’s Program
The InterNational Partners Program is a collaborative effort of the SDSU International Student Center and an assortment of community service organizations engaged in the promotion of international understanding and goodwill. The program is designed to provide the organizations with diverse perspectives and resources contributed by international students, and provide the students with an internship experience in community services with an international focus.

Hey,I’ve made it!!!!I’ve got selected as a ‘STUDENT ASSISTANT’ at ISC….
wow..it feels gr8!!!!!! (u’ll c a lot s in this post!!!!)

So finally,I have a full-time job!!! (here comes another one) My job starts from Jan 13,with the orientation for the students coming in this Spring semester…..

Had a rock’ng interview..

Hey everyone….

I had a rockn’g interview today.As expected it was really different from the ones we have in India.There was a relaxed and fun atmosphere….n everyone was really friendly….they asked me some general questions like wht would I do during a ’slow period’,i.e. a time when there’s not much to do(okay I accept I didn’t knew what that means ),then there were questions about myself….like where I would like to travel and three word about me…..

Everything went on well….lets c whts the result…..

My first interview experience in USA

Hello ppl,

Today I have something to share with u guys.I will have my first interview @ SDSU!!!!!!!!n guess wht its for ISC….my own place

It’s kinnda mixed feeling actually…I’m feeling a li’l nervous as I have no idea about how it would be…..in India interviews are some serious stuff….with a panel of people shooting you with questions..and trying desperately that you fall in some trap ….bt here I think things will be quite different….as I know people here…I think will not be soo difficult…..but lets just wait n watch…..fingers crossed!!!
